Montag & Caldwell Suit Dismissed
Last week, a Florida state court officially dismissed the "back of the bus" best ex case against Montag & Caldwell.
In 2001, a City of Gainesville pension plan filed suit against the Atlanta-based adviser, alleging that it caused losses to the plan by entering orders for the planís directed trades only after other client trades had been entered. In September 2003, the court denied the planís motion for summary judgment.
Following a period of inactivity in the case, Montag filed for dismissal.
