SEC Salt Lake City Director Will Retire
Karla Martinez, regional director of the SEC’s Salt Lake City office, will retire this summer.
The SEC, which made the announcement late last month, noted that Martinez, who has been regional director since being promoted to the position in 2013, oversaw the office’s examinations and enforcement cases. She began supervising the office enforcement program in 2010, when she became assistant director. Martinez also supervised a team within the agency’s national exam program that collects and analyzes data from clearing firms and large broker-dealers throughout the country.
