Investment Management Division Director Named
The SEC on May 8 named David Grim to replace Norm Champ as the Commissionís new director of its Division of Investment Management.
Grim, who has been serving as acting director of the Division since Champ resigned in February, is a†20-year veteran of the SEC, having joined in 1995 as a†staff attorney in the Divisionís Office of Investment Company Regulation. He moved to the Divisionís Office of Chief Counsel in 1998 and was appointed assistant chief counsel in 2007. He became deputy director of the Division of Investment Management in 2013.
A graduate with a degree in political science from Duke University, Grim received his law degree from George Washington University.
